OKC Zoo Trip

My sweet friend Stacie Boyd heard on the radio that admission to the OKC Zoo was only 75 cents on Wednesdays in the summer! So we loaded up our kids and headed to the Zoo...along with Laura, Alicia, Jill, and Brooke and her baby Asher ("Ashes"). Emma loved the animals and did a great job walking around the zoo like a big girl!

We were so blessed to have my sweet best friend Rebecca and her family here this week. Becca, her husband Joel and her 2 boys Gavin (2 1/2 years) and Braden (almost 1) have been living in India the past year and they have less than a year before they return home to the U.S. Joel is working for an engineering company and was offered a great opportunity to oversee the company there in Mumbai. It has been both a blessing and it has been challenging and we are so proud of them. They came to visit family in Tulsa and drove to Norman to see us!

All of our kids went to sleep and the grown ups stayed up to watch t.v. and hang out!

20 years ago, my mom told me that there was another little girl in the neighborhood, 4 houses down, and I should go down and say hello. I hopped on my pink bike and drove down to her house..."I'm Megan, I'm 8 years old...want to be my friend?" and Becca said, "Sure!" and we have been friends ever since. It's crazy to think we're having babies and now our babies are playing together!

"Knob", you are so strong and sustained in our Father! You have been so strong, faithful, and resilient in this season of life. If anyone could do this (living in a third world country with 2 children), it's you! I am in awe of you...more importantly, the Lord is pleased and delights in you. You are the fragrance of Christ, Bec (2 Cor. 2:15). I love you very much and cannot wait for you to be home soon! I miss you dear friend.

A Little Catchin' Up

I can't believe summer is almost over!

We made a trip to Tulsa to see Muka (my lovely mom) and Damon (my sweet brother). Look up hospitality in the dictionary and you will see a picture of my mom's face! We arrived to a refrigerator full of yummy food, a cozy house, and a purple pool for Emma.

We dedicated our babies to the Lord at Greek Cluster a few weeks ago...Gracie Grigor, Ella Hartsock, Asher Benton, and Sophie Lynn were all dedicated.
