well, our alice (sophie: "Baby Ali!!!!", emma: "Ali Beth") is over a week old now, I can't believe it!
she's such a doll, we love her so much!
she has fit right into our world and doesn't seem to be bothered by the loud, girly, busy world of the doke house. she reminds us a lot of emma when emma was a baby; you have to wake her up to feed her and then she quietly goes right back to sleep. nice. love it.
we have been overwhelmed with blessings from friends bringing meals, my mom coming to town to help, friends helping out to take care of emma and sophie, sweet gifts sitting on our porch, flowers being delivered from family...we feel so loved and honored!
this is my new favorite picture so far...
I was cleaning up breakfast in the kitchen and came into the room to find my princesses all cuddled up with their daddy listening to If You Give a Pig a Pancake...one of our favorites!
we are so blessed...our Alice is here, and she is perfectly healthy and a JOY!
I can't begin to describe the favor and His faithfulness we have been shown this week with her birth. my recovery has been almost painless, easy, and she has passed every health test including a perfect score on her hearing test which is uncommon with a c-section baby. most of my nurses were nurses I became friends with when I had Sophie and Emma, so being in the hospital was so much fun! our family and friends came to see us...we are overwhelmed with His love, provision, and joy!
the girls love, love, love "baby Ali"! we had big sister sacks waiting for them with treats, princess dresses etc.
emma, put on everything in the bag...sophie went straight for the treats!
really funny, right now emma's favorite color is orange- preferably OSU or Texas orange...daddy is adjusting!
emma loves holding alice!
sophie's first interaction, just checking alice out...now, she's all about holding and kissing baby ali and doesn't like it at all when she cries.
we are happily a family of 5 and are loving it!
welcome Alice, we love you so much and are loving getting to know you and your little heart!
tomorrow, our sweet one Alice Elizabeth will be here!
we are scheduled for our c-section Tuesday morning at the Health Plex and we couldn't be more excited! I was telling my friend Becca (due in 6 weeks) I think I get more excited with each baby! it feels like Christmas morning and I feel 5 years old, giddy with excitement, not sure if I'll sleep a wink tonight!
we'll be in the hospital till Thursday morning so feel free to stop by and meet the newest Doke princess!
little one, we pray His protection, safety, peace, and joy over your delivery! may you feel His JOY from the minute you come into this world! we can't wait to see you tomorrow and love you!!!
