josh & laura WAGGONER!!!

we just had the BEST weekend...
josh and laura are MARRIED!
I believe laura is the most beautiful bride I have ever seen. she was so classy, radiant, elegant, gorgeous...old hollywood glamour!
(I apologize, there are a lot of pics on this post! I just couldn't choose and mom, I know you want to see them!)
this was a blast!
josh, emma, & laura
we are SO proud of emma rose! this was her first wedding as a flower girl and she was GREAT! we're so thankful for all of the help from port and haynes...they are pros, they've already been in 4 weddings!
aren't the bridesmaids' dresses beautiful!?!? emma loves her alicia brown!
alicia still lives with us and it's been SO wonderful! we hope she never leaves!!!
emma's dress was made by laura's mother marsha...hand made! amazing!
this was chris' 34th...yes, 34th time to be a groomsman. I must say he looks pretty hot in a tux!
the bridal party was HUGE! 12 attendants on each side! great looking party!
emma watched laura's every move all night...she adores her.
this was sweet.
pretty girl
the reception was at the OKC golf club...amazing!!! I wish I had more pics of the cake, the decor, the creative food stations (i.e. a candy bar, coffee car, sushi/spring roll station, quesadilla bar, sweet potato fries with new york strip...need I say more?!?!)
I love this pic (above) of our friends brooke and alex's little boy asher just dancing the night away!
emma & lainey beth
josh and laura love kids so there were tons of little ones at the wedding/reception. lainey beth is such a joy to be around, we wish we spent more time with her! her mommy abbey actually did my make up for my wedding!
favorite pics of the night...
emma has been looking forward to "twirling and dancing" with her daddy all week long. she begged chris to take her dancing and he happily said yes. I went over to grab some pics and saw chris swinging and dancing with her and unexpectedly I teared up! maybe it's the thought of us being here some day, giving our girl(s) away, dancing with them as brides. maybe because my daddy is gone and I still want to twirl with him. not sure. but I know I love this moment.
this was unforgettable.
we are so honored to have been a part of this special day. josh and laura are family to us and we have loved seeing the Lord bring them together and give them the best gift: each other!
love you guys! xoxo

bridal luncheon

laura had a gorgeous bridal luncheon given by her aunts the day before her wedding to josh. the detail and elegance were to be admired! beautiful flowers on each table...small bags of wrapped tea with our names...a delicate meal of chicken salad and quiche...every detail was perfect!
(I look so tired in this picture!!!)

laura and her sweet family
laura was so thoughtful and gave the sweetest gifts to everyone included in her wedding.
emma & mommy
alice was there too...she slept in her car seat the whole time!
we went to the luncheon, home for quick/short naps, then back for rehearsal.
i think emma's favorite part of the day was when the kids left with lolli and champ while the adults stayed for dinner and they went to mcdonald's for dinner!

I highly recommend...

these cookies!
nancy noles is a genius!
she uses the normal chocolate chip cookie recipe on the bag of chips...but she does a few brilliant things!
- uses Crisco baking sticks instead of butter
- stirs the mixture by hand instead of a blender
- rolls the dough into balls, flattens the dough, rolls it again
and then I...
- chopped up Oreos and added them to the dough
- under cooked them by one minute
- topped them peanut butter when they come out of the oven
yes please!

a week of:

1. the stomach flu for bear
(she didn't even make it all the way into our bed and fell asleep here)
sweet girl slept so much and just wasn't her sweet self at all...she was so sick :(
2. the Lord's healing...and flowers from daddy
emma loves getting flowers from chris and he LOVES buying her flowers. his favorite place is Wright's IGA on Main St., he always find the most beautiful flowers for her and she is always so excited!
3. last dinner with josh as a bachelor
our friend josh is getting married in a few days to the most beautiful girl laura!!! we can't wait!!! josh has been coming to our house for dinner a few nights a week for years and we've loved it! can't wait to have the waggoner's over for dinner!!!!
4. being home bound
we haven't left the house in 5 days because emma has been so sick. today we ventured out to the park and Sonic for a tasty treat. you know your child is still a little weak when she lays on the turf/ground at the park for most of the time there.
5. truth
I wanted a bubble bath a few nights ago. I had been up several nights with emma every few hours, holding her hair and then up with alice nursing. just as I settled into my bubble bath with my magazine, chris brought me a very upset alice elizabeth. so as I was watching my bubbles go down the drain I thought "I just need a bath, just a 20 minute bath"...enter the Lord's sweet voice:
"some day they will all be gone, out of your house, living their own lives and you will have all the time in the world to "yourself" and you can take hour baths every day if you want to".
I smiled and teared up a bit and JOYFULLY got dressed and held my sweet ali beth.
I have the best job in the world...truly. my heart is bursting with gratitude that the Lord would entrust these precious princesses to me and chris.
I am in love...with my sweet girls.

fall art

maybe it's the former teacher in me, but I love doing art with my girls!
this particular day we were making fall tree leaves with finger paint.
sophie thought the red paint made for great lipstick
I wish I had an "after" pic of the table once my little artists were finished!

let the celebrations begin!

our Boo is turning 2 next week!
my mom and brother were in town this past weekend and we had an early celebration for sophie lynn.
mom and damon brought her the cutest cake!
sophie is really into cars right now so mom got her a huge car race track set that's over 2 feet high!
Muka and her grandbabies
I must say looking at this picture, my mom is beautiful...so beautiful!
sweet boo, we look forward to celebrating you sweet girl. I can't believe it's been almost 2 years. it seems like yesterday we brought you home from the hospital.
love you!

omniplex adventure

since having alice, certain things seem more challenging than others. certain outings seem more daunting or even impossible. while sitting at mom's prayer, my sweet neighbor kristen texted "want to go to the Omniplex?" why sure! I can do this!!! we can do this!
so we ran home, fed 2 kids lunch, changed clothes, potty break, diapers, nursed a baby, loaded back into the car with goldfish and blankets, and it was off to the city!
yellow paint anyone?
beck & daphne are the sweetest kids. our girls have a blast playing with them and they live right next door!

mission accomplished! we did it girls! we made it on our adventure and had so much fun!!!

3 little sisters sittin' in a chair

my sweet girls are getting bigger every day! they LOVE each other so much!
