You know the scene in Braveheart when Mel Gibson (William Wallace) yells "Freedom!!" and his troops yell in agreement and celebration? Well that was the mood around our house today! The snow is gone, the temperature is wonderful, and we are free! I'm not going to lie, the "Sons of Scotland" speech was running through my head today! I'm all for playing in the snow but the forecast of sunshine and spring weather is very welcomed at our house!
So outside we went...all day long!
I could just gobble her up.
We went to our favorite place Interurban for dinner.
Today was one of those days we searched for the balance between pushing through what's hard and then "calling it a day", even if it's only 2pm. You know those days?
When everything seems to go wrong and be unusually challenging, even though your kids are sweet as can be...it's just plain hard. We asked ourselves a few times "Should we call it a day?" No. Press on. If we did things because it was easy or not stretching, we'd never do anything or go anywhere. 3 separate loads of laundry and 2 baths for various accidents, spit ups, spills...just one of those days.
So tonight, we tucked in our lovelies, read to them, prayed over them, and then high-fived each other. We had a good day...and it was hard. We laughed, played hard, and relished in our baby girls.
We called it a day...and what a wonderful day it was!
