Summer is here.
We're a bit behind, but we're catchin' up. One pool trip, snow cone slurping, toasty hours outside, day at a time. The mornings of little ones stirring early because the sun is streaming through their windows, whispering of the day's adventures. The afternoons of lovelies trickling in with sand and smells of sunscreen. The evenings of catching lightening bugs and nibbling on dinner because the pool is more inviting and the swing is calling her name.
Summer's horizon is in sight.

We met with Dr. Steele (GI specialist). Ali's biopsies results show her tissue is normal but that she has stomach muscle motility problems, draining at 28%. Hey, note to stomach muscles...pick up the slack! Oh well, by the end of the summer, we'll be besties with the feeding tube. She'll have it for months until she grows and coasts out of this season. Re-evaluation of the "coasting" will come every few weeks. Rechecks for possible tumors (eyebrow) in the months to come.
Although I expect nothing but good reports. Because I said so.
So here's to perfecting our primping skills at friend's houses.

To moving towards the adventures of summer, even if it's mixed in with appointments and nurse visits. We are loving our doctors and nurses who welcome us in their offices and join us in our home, our family. For moments of celebration, because she's gained more weight. And visits where we cross off the serious concerns and take home instructions and goals to be accomplished.
We'll get there. We'll get back to our routines and pace. We'll get to the mountains in a few weeks, the beach in a few months. The peaks and blue waters are waiting for us.
We're coming...to our bunny's little beat.
Happy Summer...because Boo says so.
