Last weekend we moved into our new house.
It feels like home. We're resting well, all in our own beds. The stamp of approval has been given with sidewalk chalk masterpieces, meals outside on the deck, morning walks in the neighborhood, and visitors stopping by with treats in hand.
My mama came in for a few days and did what would have taken me weeks to accomplish. She unpacked and organized the girls' rooms.
No easy or simple feat, yet she makes it look so. Her mark was left of servanthood and love, leaving us with grateful hearts.
Emma and Sophie's Room
We are home and we are settled, thanks to so many. Our gratitude runs deep with the simple things we never thought about before and are now the very thing that stir up joy and affection for our nest.
A lot of sweetness to relish in.
The day after we moved in, I was honored to help host a shower for my dear friend Liz.
I don't know where to begin about this special friend of mine. Her laugh is infectious. Her joy is contagious.
She is a treasure to all who are blessed to know her.
She's just simply lovely.
Liz and her husband Jonathan are expecting their first baby, Naifeh Elizabeth, next month. A shower of celebration was in order. A group of friends came together for a delightful, morning brunch to honor this mama and her precious one.
Hearts are excited and ready to meet this sweet one when she makes her debut. A heritage from the Lord, a tokened treasure bestowed, and a much contended for life He has knitted together.
Little One, you are loved already.
Soon we will scoop up your tiny body and take in your sweet scent. You will be showered with the affection of the Father and will know just how deeply loved you are.
For sure the sweetest gift of spring is yet to come.
Coming back home to my babies was pure delight. The week's pace has been halted and the new order on the agenda, being home. Oh how I crave and love being home.
We may not leave for awhile.
