Happy Randomness

There's a lot of happy going on around here.  Not pretending like Sophie didn't stand at the top of the stairs crying and screaming at 6:45am because I didn't lay a dress out for her, because that's exactly what she did.  Or that I haven't capped my day with plunging a potty and/or cleaning up poop, because that happened too.  Oh yes plenty of funny challenges laughed at later and some challenges that penetrate heart ache because I miss my daddy and things just didn't turn out the way I thought they would.
We cry and we ache, we long for, and let go.

And right now, we're just plain happy.  Enjoying our happy randomness of every day life.

Celebrating my friend Kerri on her birthday, this sweet mama is the berries and all who are blessed to know her agree.
Sophie had her first field trip at school, a bug walk.  A simple outing of digging in the dirt, lifting up logs of wood, and pouncing along with grasshoppers, all in search for little critters to shove into a plastic baby food tub.
A successful trip indeed.
Sister spent most of her time with sweet Ella Rose and kept her eye on the food table being prepared.  The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

And Alice had the same idea.  Dirt cake consumption.

When we drive down hills, she puts her hands up and screams like she's on a roller coaster.
She begs for sister's helmet to be snapped on and a turn on the bike.
She lays quietly in her crib until you come and get her in the morning and then she hits the ground running.
And she loves her some dirt cake.

The happy dance continues.
A trip to Miss Heather's house, she has celebrity status in our house.  A delightful outing to take us into the weekend.
I loaded up some game-day-ready babies and we headed to see daddy at work, with glittered pictures in tow for him.

We headed back home with friends, the Boyd's, for some playing and popsicles.

Enter, more happy randomness...

House Church dance party because little hearts have chosen to follow Him forever.

After dinner play at the park.
Cinnamon Roll waffles.  Grab a can of Pillsbury cinnamon rolls and throw 'em in your waffle maker for a few minutes, then top with icing or in our case, caramel icing.
Thank you very much Pinterest.

And more bug walks.

Belle is smiling these days.  It absolutely wrecks me, in fact I am just a mess over this baby.
This weekend, more happy is being served up with a side of laundry and fits over dresses.

We are grateful.
